Alex Luchynskyi is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Mahwah, NJ who attends Mahwah. Long, lean frame with a high waist, square shoulders and tons of physical projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with simple, repeatable movements into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked mostly in the low-80s from a quick, over-the-top arm angle and touched 84 mph in this look. Developing command of the strike zone that will improve with mechanical adjustments in his lower half and arm path. Showed occasional cut to his fastball and mixed in a developing breaking ball that varied in shape. Flashed firmer changeup with some tumble to it, will continue to improve with additional velocity and refinements of his secondary offerings. Secondary outfielder with anticipatory actions into the fielding process. Fields properly off his front foot, gathers quickly and maintains momentum into release. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to generate plenty of present bat speed and impacts the baseball when on-time. Whole field approach with some feel for the barrel, flashed occasional impact and carry to the pullside. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Immensely projectable frame with loads of upside on both sides of the ball. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
