Joel Munoz is a 2027 2B/RHP, 3B, SS with a 5-4 115 lb. frame from Freeport, NY who attends Holy Trinity. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.44 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, shorter gather moving into release, works around the bag, will continue to refine actions to backhand, opens front side early at times, clean funnel ranging up middle, arm strength and carry will keep developing on throws. Also pitched, full windup on the mound, works to a three-quarters release point, limited lower half incorporate into operation. Fastball topped out at 66 mph, pitched to contact and mixed a short slider up to 59 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a tight hand set with a high back elbow; utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Long swing path through the zone with developing bat speed, contact oriented approach, ground bball contact around the field off of the barrel.
