Reed Caballero is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo. Primary right-handed pitcher with a wiry, medium frame. Stays high in the windup from a three-quarter delivery, good body control throughout the action. Fastball topped 70 mph, able to control it at all four quadrants. Slider has subtle sharp bite, keeps hitters off balance. Curveball topped 62 mph with promising depth and shape, both with distinct variations in the break. Secondary first baseman, shows good lateral actions to either side. Solid receiving ability with clean backhands on grounder. Developing arm strength as he physically matures. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and a stride in the load. Present strength in hands and barrel control to all fields. Good line drives and ability to use the whole field. Good student.
