Carter Summerlin is a 2027 C with a 5-9 147 lb. frame from Doerun, GA who attends Colquitt County. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward with additional strength. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, gains some ground with lower half coming out of crouch, gets taller through release, deeper take back with a tight release from ear, will continue to refine actions and arm strength will continue to develop down to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a knee lift trigger for timing. Works on a linear path through the zone, swings with intent and shows some quickness to operation. Found the barrel well in live action, creates some lift to path at times, sound foundation of tools offensively to build off of.
