Cael Phillips is a 2024 RHP/UT with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Columbus Junction, IA who attends Columbus Community. He has a medium frame with a thinner frame and room to add more strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.18 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that uses a knee to belt leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He has a twitchier delivery and throws with a longer arm action. His fastball has sinking and cutting action that make it tough to square up. His curveball has nice bite with shorter breaking action down in the zone. His changeup has nice deception to it. Secondary utility player that worked out on the infield, showing nice actions to both sides of his body. He does a nice job of fielding the ball out front and looking it all the way into the glove. He has clean fundamentals and makes all of the plays. Right-handed hitter that starts with a square base and uses a longer stride. He has a rotational swing and looks to hit the ball to all gaps. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
