Matthew Heredia is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-6 115 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends Fort Worth Christian. Medium young build. 7.12 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays defense with confidence, has quick feet and is smooth and balanced moving laterally, has a clean funnel out front and soft and sure hands, athletic enough to make the spectacular play, projects well as a defensive middle infielder. Right handed hitter, has a nice short and tight swing to the ball with good extension out front, pretty fluid operation overall, develops some young bat speed with more to come as he gets stronger. Also pitched, has a rotational upper body delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, also threw a soft curveball, showed his athleticism fielding his position. Athletic young player. Very good student.
