Kevin Brinkworth is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. A medium build and frame. Some athleticism showing. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who worked out at the position during workouts. He threw 82 mph from the outfield with some strength behind his round of throws. He fielded the ball off the front foot as he shuffled into the throws with a shorter arm action and compact release. A right-handed hitter who had an even base as he sets up with the hands set around the armpit and back elbow slightly outward. He lifts the leg and works inward as he strides. It was an aggressive stride forward & inward as he gets into the swing. Was able to work with line drives and harder-hit groundballs to the middle of the field. The best contact came when he was able to execute on getting the hands in and out front to it, driving it pull-side. Added a base knock in-game. Produced an 82 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who starts square to the plate and then side-steps into a leg lift up just above the belt. He throws from a higher slot and had a fluid arm stroke. The ball comes out well and has some angle from the higher slot. His fastball comes out firm, playing up a bit at 81 mph. He also showed a nice curveball in the arsenal with 11/5 shape to it. He was able to manipulate it a bit when he got over the top, pulling down for more of a 12-6 depthy curveball that had hammer depth. He could land the curveball for strikes as well. He threw a clean inning allowing 1 hit and striking out 1 opposing hitter during his outing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
