Shane Berney is a 2027 1B/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from North Haven, CT who attends Hamden Hall. Medium, strongly build frame with broadness to shoulders and physicality throughout. Primary first baseman, deliberate actions around the bag, firm carry on throws out of the hand; showed well in the outfield as well, charges ball with some bend at waist, works through the ball, lower carry with accuracy to the intended base, shows some present carry. Left-handed hitter, spread stance in the box, shows quickness to operation and incorporates strength well. Comfort working to the pull side and ball jumps, turns the barrel with intent and shows consistent life off of the barrel, intriguing offensive tools. Named to the 14u Main Event Top Prospect List.
