Jacob Shearer is a 2026 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Westfield. Slender young build. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent knee stance with a high back elbow load, gets the barrel out early, works middle of the field and got the ball in the air consistently, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. 7.97 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has solid step by step actions with good fundamentals, good hands and fields cleanly, makes the routine play routinely, some young carry on his throws 7across the diamond. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a high leg raise start, compact arm action in back with a 3/4's release slot. Fastball worked mostly in the mid-70's and topped out at 78 mph, did a good job of throwing strikes with his fastball and challenging hitters. Also threw a soft curveball with slower arm speed. Good student.
