Axel Lopez is a 2024 C with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Lincolnton, NC who attends Combine Academy. Lopez works from a medium athletic build with additional room to fill out and add strength. Exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish, he displayed compact actions with bounce out of the set. He showcased a direct mid-line transfer with solid arm strength on display up to 78 mph. Repeated the actions well to ultimately post a 2.02 pop time. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open base with a high compact hand set and some hover to the trigger, producing line drive contact to all parts of the field. Lopez flashed hand speed through the zone with a direct bat path, showing intent to create impact out in front. Posted an exit velo of 83 mph. Ran a 7.07 sixty yard dash.
