Daniel Phillips is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Brownsburg, IN who attends Brownsburg. Lean and long young build with lots of growing ahead of him. Works from a high leg raise delivery with a short stride down the mound, medium length arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, repeated his mechanics and release point well. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight and thrown for strikes. Slurve type breaking ball was his best pitch, had good depth to it and missed some barrels, also thrown for strikes. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced start, has a long and extended swing, looking to pull and lift the ball, has some strength when he's on plane and squared up. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Showed nice actions at first base on defense, works below the ball well with good footwork and athletic balance, soft hands out front, makes accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield but looked much more comfortable at first base. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
