Ben Van Bell is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Whitefish Bay, WI who attends Whitefish Bay. Medium young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a crouched straight stance with a tight hand load, has good hand quickness and creates some bat speed with a short path to the ball, best contact was when he was letting the ball travel and not getting too far out front, gets some jump off the barrel and projects to keep improving as he gets stronger. 7.78 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low with good flexibility, has sound fundamental footwork, piece by piece actions from receiving through release, makes accurate throws and gains ground well into them, increased quickness and flow through his segments will bring down his throw times. Good base to build from on both sides of the ball. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
