Ty Spalding is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Shelby, MI who attends Henry Ford II. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Worked out behind the plate, low set with good flex in hips, gets out of crouch well with explosion and twitch to his lower half, stays low and gains ground, receives well and shows soft hands, quick release with solid arm strength and developing accuracy, clocked up to 73 mph on throws. Hits from even-based stance with high back elbow, slightly spread out, very rotational in torso and will cut swing off, shows compact bat speed at times, projectable strength. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
