2022 National Academic Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Wyatt Rudden is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Greenwood Village, CO who attends Cherry Creek. Wyatt has an average size and build about him, but possesses a very strong arm. From the mound, Rudden showed a low 80's fastball topping out at 82-mph, and the ability to execute two off speed pitches. The fastball has some natural cut at times due to a smooth reverse "C' type arm action. Wyatt's curveball has a 11/5 shape with late biting action and the changeup has good gap in velocity from the fastball. Wyatt really impressed from the outfield with his arm strength reaching 90-mph on his throws. He does a nice job staying low into the ball and all transfers and gatherings are smooth. The baseball comes out well and with his lower trajectory throws were accurate. Rudden has a hard swing from a wide base at the plate. Shows good ability here to make contact but much of it was out front and a bit off balance. With added strength in lower half and a more stable foundation this has potential to really come around. Wyatt is an exceptional student in the classroom. Rudden was named to the 2022 National Academic Showcase Top Team List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
