Gavin Sylvester is a 2026 OF with a 5-5 109 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Riverside. Young, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and a high waist, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps to the ball on the approach and fields to side, works to a longer arm action with a lower slot on release, repeats actions well and shows looseness to overall operation with balance, occasionally gets under the ball at release, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and upright stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow; limited shift through lower half but shows quickness to hands and shows flow to operation in the box. Occasionally gets around the ball, longer swing path through the zone, swung the bat very well in live action with multiple extra base hits to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Works on a linear path through the zone, all fields approach, projects well with added physical strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
