Owen Walsh is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary right handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch with a long stride down the mound, rotational upper body thrower, stays in line with plate well working down the mound, some energy at release. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 78 mph early, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Had confidence in both his secondary pitches, curveball had good two-plane break and created some swing and miss down in the zone, change up had some fading action. Showed a good idea how to mix pitches and locations for his age, can speed up his pace on the mound between pitches. 7.82 runner in the sixty, plays the infield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high back elbow load, slashing downhill swing plane, upper body swing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
