2022 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
William Benton is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Downingtown, PA who attends Downingtown STEM Academy. As a young projectable LHP, Benton worked exclusively from the stretch on the bump using a high 3/4 slot with deception in the delivery to keep hitters guessing. Ultimately topping out at 81 mph, the lefty dotted both corners of the plate efficiently with a slurvy breaker showcasing raw movement and depth in the arsenal. From his secondary 1B and OF positions, Benton worked through the ball cleanly with the ability to change slots and produce accurate throws. At the plate, he started from an even base with a hover trigger and good bat to ball skills, generating line drive contact to all parts of the field. Ran a 7.52 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
