Matthew Genovese is a 2025 MIF/RHP/OF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Lititz, PA who attends Manheim Twp. Working from both the IF and OF, Genovese came through the ball well with an aggressive attacking mentality topping out at 67 mph between the two positions. As a primary IF, he showcased clean backhands with room to add strength and refine the mechanics in the future. On the mound, Genovese threw exclusively from the stretch, using a lower slot to create natural run on the FB that he relied on to record outs efficiently. He changed eye levels of hitters well and should see velocity project as he develops. Offensively, the righty started from a wide base with rotation in the lower half to flash contact to all parts of the field. As the timing becomes more consistent, expect feel for the barrel to increase and power to become more prominent. Ran a 7.68 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
