Andrew Catron is a 2024 2B/SS with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from La Porte, IN who attends Laporte. Medium frame with compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with inverted front side, leg lift trigger with hip action, lengthy stroke that is mostly arms, rotational in torso, opposite field approach with inside-out path, showed some strength in hands. Worked out in the infield, waits back on the ball, gets around it well, compact arm stroke with quicker release, clocked up to 72 mph on throws. Good student.
