Caden Ratcliff is a 2024 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends St. Theodore Guerin. Smaller compact frame. Ran a 6.87 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, patient approach, squares to the baseball, average glove actions working through the baseball out front, extra steps to gather and throw and a solid average throwing arm. Some quickness and speed in outfield drills, but developing footwork to the ball on the ground, long arm action and solid average arm strength. Right-handed hitter hit from an open stance with leg lift timing. Rotational swing, some quickness to the wrists, developing ability to get the swing in sync, slight uphill bat path and some feel for the barrel. Two pitches on the mound out of a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball topped at 78, and showed real feel for spinning a curveball with efficiency and 11-5 shape. Solid average strike thrower with athleticism on the mound. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
