LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 Jr. National Showcase
Richie Swain is a 2025 RHP with a 6-4 189 lb. frame from Wentzville, MO who attends Timberland HS. Extra large frame and build with long limbs and substantial physical projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Pitches exclusively from the stretch. Leg lift up above the belt with a compact arm action and above average arm speed. Replicates delivery well and pounded the strike zone. Fastball gets a good amount of carry from a low release height. Allows for significant swing-and-miss. Breaking ball shows favorable spin and tight shape. Adept at landing the breaking ball to the glove side to hitters of either handedness. Fastball quality was excellent with six whiffs during his time on the bump. Arm speed, projection, fastball quality, and breaking ball feel are all very positive indicators moving forward. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
