Mikey Hoeler is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Jackson, NJ who attends Jackson Memorial. Medium, slender frame with a high waist, long levers and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 5.19 second forty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with some deception and pitchability. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 71 mph from a short, compact arm action. Hides the ball effectively behind his head and generates deception with a cross-body landing. Showed aptitude for full repertoire, moving his fastball in-and-out and to both sides of the plate.Mixed in promising breaking ball with big depth and the ability to land it for strikes. Will continue to improve with additional strength and velocity. Secondary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate pace and two-hands to field during drills, while incorporating extra steps into the throwing motion. Worked into similar short, compact arm action to throw and recorded arm strength up to 71 mph during the outfielders portion of the workout. Left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and a big leg lift trigger. Lofted stroke with big drift into contact, displayed developing feel for the barrel and worked mostly to the pullside of the field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.
