2023 Class of 2026 All-American Games
Juan Pablo Altamirano is a 2026 RHP/C/IF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Queen Creek, AZ who attends Crismon High School. Thick and strong build, especially in the lower half, catcher's build. Two-way player who is a primary pitcher. Works from a low hand delivery with a full back turn delivery, has a 3/4's arm slot on his fastball and lower on his curveball. Fastball worked in the low 80's and touched 83 mph, lands his curveball well for strikes, also mixed in a firm straight change up and a knuckleball. Filled up the strike zone and was effective. Comes out of his crouch well as a catcher on defense, has solid athleticism, good arm strength when he gets on top of the ball. Also plays some third base. Right handed hitter, has a short and direct swing with some strength in his swing, found lots of barrels with some jump, repeatable balanced approach. High level performer on both sides of the ball all summer, plays with big energy and a big smile, never seems to get tired and always wants to be on the field. Plays above his tools. Good student.
