Ty Reaka is a 2024 LHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Fairview Heights, IL who attends Belleville East. Long and lean athletic build with good present strength and plenty more to come. High leg raise delivery with good balance over the rubber, comes down for a low 3/4's arm slot and release, long and high takeaway in back, creates some angle and deception, still developing consistency in his release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets nice running life down and riding life up. Shows good arm speed on a sweeping curveball that has depth and deception. Everything projects here and will continue to improve. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Showed good athleticism at first base on defense, has good hands and makes accurate throws from the same lower slot as on the mound. Left handed hitter, hits from a closed off stance and hits against his front side, deep hand load, flashed good bat speed when turning hard on the ball, keeps his swing pretty short and compact. Interesting athlete with plenty of potential on the mound. Good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
