Andrew Johnson is a 2024 RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Marengo, IL who attends Marengo. He has a medium frame with an athletic build and room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that uses a knee to chest leg kick and works in line with the plate. He uses drop and drive back leg mechanics and works down the mound well. He uses a long and offline arm action with a slight curl in the back and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. His fastball has nice arm side run and he pairs it with an 11-5 curveball that has nice tilt and depth. Right-handed hitter that starts with an even base and an upright stance. He has a high back elbow and uses a small leg lift trigger for timing. He has quick hands and has a longer finish through the ball. He has a line drive approach at the plate and showed the ability to consistently square up pitches on the inner half.
