Casey Prieto is a 2027 RHP/C, OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Paso Robles, CA who attends Paso Robles. Features a smaller frame with present athleticism and room to add. Ran a 7.42 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed an average approach where he slows down his feet slightly into reception. Fields it clean and out front with a slight regather into his throwing motion. Arm worked with a medium path in the back with some quickness to release running it up to 80mph. Throws were of the higher arcing variety and accurate to the bag. At catcher, he exhibited solid catch/throw ability. Pops out of the crouch with some quickness and a compact exchange. Doesn’t gain much ground towards second but is able to get off throws fast. At the plate, he sits in a narrow base. He uses a bigger leg lift that triggers early with some slight rhythm to the hands. Rotates fast as his hands are quick and direct where the barrel shows some decent length out front. On the mound, he has a clean/repeatable delivery. Arm shows looseness throughout the action with some present armspeed to release out of a normal ¾ slot. Pounded strikes all outing long with his complete mix. His fastball worked up to 82 locating it to all quadrants. Mixed in a low 70s curveball that showed late downward shape. Mixed in a developing changeup in the mid 70s.
