Nehemiah Torres is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Northbrook, IL who attends Glenbrook North. Recorded a 7.39 second sixty yard dash time. Lean frame with a wiry build. Primary shortstop, active feet and was good moving up the middle with good glove work. Showed some ability to change arm slots. Secondary outfielder, quick feet that fields one handed off the side of the front foot. Charges aggressively with good glove work. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a belt-high leg kick with a medium length stride down the mound with lower rotational mechanics and drop and drive lower half mechanics. Gets front glove side out of the way before swinging the arm through from a three- quarter arm slot. The fastball (2151 RPM) was up to 79 and was mid 70s has some arm-side running life and a sinker (1200 RPM) that was low 70s . Mixed in a curveball (2124 RPM) that could be moved around the zone with feel to manipulate break and showing some vertical bite. Went after hitters and competing in the zone well. Filled the bottom third of the zone. Should add more velocity as the frame continues to mature. Right-handed hitter, starts from a wider base and open feet with high hands and high back elbow, utilizes a leg lift and inward move. Some whip to the barrel and able to get to the ball out front and to do some damage with the best contact coming to left field and the left-center field gap. Intriguing player with a high ceiling. Good student.
