Thomas Tratnyek is a 2023 RHP with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Fort Wayne, IN who attends Carroll. Ran a 7.38 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a larger strong build. On the mound he starts with a leg lift above the belt staying well balanced over the back side before landing into a stiff front side with decent leg drive down the mound. Attacked hitters int eh zone with the fastball at 83-85 mph hiding the ball well through the back and generating some arm side run down in the zone. The change showed better at present then the breaking ball with good ahdn speed an fading actions while the breaking ball is projectable with maintained hand speed showing 12-6 shape. The arm strength stood out on the infield as well showing young actions as he worked through the ball but making strong accurate throws to complete the plays. Right-handed hitter, starts upright and narrow in his stance. Showed good intent to the swing path using the middle of the field with an on time barrel and strong top hand with a level swing path. Very good student. Named to the 2022 Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
