Carson Sosebee is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Dawsonville, GA who attends Dawson County. Medium, compact frame with plenty of time and room to fill out. Recorded a 7.47 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from a higher, slightly side-saddled stance with a fairly direct midline transfer and efficient footwork out of the crouch. Gains ground towards his target, works upward out of the crouch and displayed arm strength up to 72 mph from behind the plate during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a compact, abbreviated windup. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 75 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in a developing breaking ball that varied in shape and showed best when thrown with conviction and two-plane tilt to it. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout, where he showed off arm strength up to 84 mph and some athleticism in his movements. Right-handed hitter that hits from a balanced, wider base with a linear swing path, good separation into impact and some looseness to his hands. Flashed some pullside power potential when on-time and able to get the barrel to the front, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
