2022 Pitcher / Catcher Indoor Showcase
Luke Bockenfeld is a 2024 RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Long Grove, IA who attends North Scott. He has a medium frame with a slender build and plenty of room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that has a slow paced delivery that allows him to stay in control and on balance throughout the process. He uses a high, knee to chest leg kick and lands open to the plate. He has a medium arm action with a slight plunge, and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He was able to create some arm side run with his fastball and did a nice job of working to both sides of the plate. His curveball has 11-5 shape with nice velocity difference. He uses the same arm speed which makes it a very effective off speed pitch. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base with a high back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger and uses a rotational swing. He has a line drive approach and showed the ability to hit line drives the other way. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
