Walker Brockie is a 2023 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Grand Rapids, MI who attends Forest Hills Eastern. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger, looks taller than listed. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, has quick feet and a solid first step, gets into good positions to field the ball and has sure hands, makes accurate throws with second base-type arm strength. Right handed hitter, has an early pre-stride into contact with a deep hand load, works inside the ball and looks to work up the middle and to the opposite field, executed his approach well in the games and consistently squared the ball up. Also pitched, works from a bent knee stretch with a short and compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, tends to collapse his landing leg out front and throw uphill to the plate on this pitch., also threw a soft slider; threw pitches with both pitches and challenged hitters. Excellent student.
