Ethan Dang is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Features a smaller athletic frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yd dash. At SS, showed adv. actions. Has light/quick feet where he plays low to the ground with soft hands that display early and field clean with present glove-to-hand quickness. Used a shorter arm action that worked with avg. strength and accuracy across. At the plate, he sits in a narrow open stance. His foot gets down early with a shorter stride while his hands stay neutral throughout his load. Showed a quick and compact swing with balance that exhibited present barrel accuracy producing several LDs to the big part of the field. On the mound, he has an athletic/repeatable delivery. Side steps into a mid chest knee lift. More drop/drive lower half with a clean arm action that works with a continuous circle in the back and up to a higher ¾ slot with some easy armspeed. Lands in-line with a solid block. Pounded the strike zone with an upper 70s fastball that played well up in the zone. Changeup showed upside in the low 70s with its present depth and fade where he killed a bunch of spin on it. Flashed a developing upper 60s breaking ball as well. Named to the Top Prospects list.
