Takumi Yoshida is a 2027 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Brookline, MA who attends Governor Dummer Academy. Medium frame with room to add size as he matures. Ran a 7.77 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, fast glove to hand transfer to a compact release, gains ground and makes accurate throws on the bag often. Popped a 2.02 to second base. Secondary infielder with solid fundamentals in the footwork and approach to the ball. Also pitched, utilized a stretch only drop and drive delivery with a strong hinge down the mound. Similar arm action to catcher drills, fastball topped at 82 mph with true life. Paired the fastball with a curveball that had big depth and 11-5 shape. Right handed hitter, narrow open base and a high hand set with a high back elbow, hanging leg lift trigger, rotates hard and swings with intent. Great student.
