Kyler Kana’i Yi is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends President Theodore Roosevelt. Recorded a 7.56 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with some present lower half strength and room to physically mature. Primary third baseman with anticipatory footwork into the fielding process, a clean funnel out in front and incorporates extra steps to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with belt high leg lift and drop-and-drive lower half mechanics. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 78 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Flashes slight arm-side run due to slot and has a tendency to miss up-and-in. Mixed in slurve shaped breaking ball that varied in shape and changeup with slight fading action as his secondary offerings. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift. Middle-of-the field approach with direct swing path and some present bat speed. Displayed consistent bat-to-ball skills with line drive impact and the ability to use the whole field. Will continue to improve with additional strength. Solid overall prospect with above average hit tool and upside offensively.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
