Matthew Wetherell is a 2027 C/RHP, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic. Larger physical build with room to add more strength. Ran a 7.5 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, right-knee down to start, fast out of crouch into exchange, gains ground towards second base, quick release with an accurate throwing arm. Also pitched, big sidestep to an abbreviated leg kick out of the wind up, short stride, compact arm action by the ear, maintains direction down the mound, had the feel to drop in a 12/6 curveball when needed. Right handed hitter, has a high hand set with a high back elbow, strength in the wrists to manipulate the barrel, line drive approach, ball explodes off the bat when contact is made. Great student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
