Diego Topete is a 2026 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA. Features a bigger frame with strength present. Primary infielder. Showcased the ability to catch the ball consistently throughout defensive workouts. Range profiles best for a corner spot. Still developing footwork allowing for momentum to be maintained through the catch point. Throws are fairly accurate a majority of the time. Still developing overall arm strength. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a toe tap timing mechanism. Creates good rhythm within the simple swing. Stays connected throughout swings. Shows good feel for the barrel. Approach is geared toward the pullside. Strength and size creates some power that way. Still developing bat speed through the zone which would allow the power to play more regularly. Solid foundation in the box with time to develop the swing further.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
