Taiga Zarick Deloney is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Chicago Hope Academy. He has a medium frame with a slender build that has plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.21 seconds. Primary outfielder that fields the ball off his back foot and does a nice job of working through the ball. He has a quick transfer and throws with a crossfire delivery. Secondary right-handed pitcher that uses a leg above the belt leg kick with drop and drive back leg mechanics. He has a slower motion that allows him to stay on balance and throws with a shorter arm action. His fastball is flat and he showed the ability to throw strikes consistently. His changeup is a developing pitch that is slower than his fastball and will continue to add movement as he develops. Right-handed hitter that starts in a semi-crouched stance that is open. He uses a simple stride for timing and features a compact swing. He has a line drive approach and looks to hit the ball where it is pitched. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
