LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 National Academic Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Sam Scharville is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Hudson, OH who attends Hudson. Sam has a solid frame and build. Showing good speed with a 7.03 second 60 yard dash time he is quick for a catcher. Behind the dish, Sam has a good short arm action and accuracy to his target. Some agility training will help improve his skill set as a whole and help in his development. Scharville has an even base setup at the plate with a slightly open front foot. Using a toe tap to load he shows bat speed and some good power to pull side. A bit of a longer swing dropping into the slot at times. Staying more compact and on line will help improve consistency of contact and hard hits. Sam excels in the classroom. Sam was named to the 2022 National Academic Showcase Top Team List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
