Mario Vitale III is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with an athletic 5-11 155 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Saint Augustine. Started off the event clocking a 7.95 60-yard dash. A primary infielder/utility player that can pitch. Defensively, Vitale's athleticism plays well in the infield where he showed the ability to move well laterally and work through the baseball with confidence. Has active feet, soft hands and made strong accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively he starts in a wider, balance stance. Swing can get handsy at times but demonstrated he can barrel the ball up consistently. On the mound, he features a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) out of a 3/4 slot. Works out of the stretch exclusively. Fastball showed decent arm-side run boring into right-handed hitters which induced multiple ground balls. Worked 3 innings allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
