Victor Esquivel is a 2023 SS/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Recorded 7.50 seconds in the sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop works with a smooth and easy transition using soft hands as he fields the baseball with a good funnel. Esquivel shows a quick release while accurately throwing across the diamond at 80 mph. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with an even, slightly open stance and moves with a front hip rotation creating good bat speed and barrel control as he works the baseball with an even path and a gap-to-gap approach.
