Tyler Hummel is a 2024 OF/1B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Saanichton, BC who attends Pacific Christian Secondary. Features a slender build with room to add. Ran a 7.28 60-yard. Quick actions in the outfield. Charges the ball hard. Can lose body control at times. Uses clean, overhead arm action with flashes of arm speed. Using the lower half more efficiently would produce more carry. Utilzes a narrow, even setup in the box with hands shoulder high. Uses a simple stride with a hand hitch timing mechanism. Short, level bat path with an abbreviated finish. Produces some pullside power when the barrel gets out front. Getting more extension through contact would help generate more power. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
