Ruben Servin is a 2027 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Pismo Beach, CA who attends St. Joseph. Features a lean and high-waisted build. Ran an 8.05 60-yd dash. In the OF, he exhibited an aggressive and athletic approach working quick through the baseball creating momentum into his crowhop. Used a longer arm action where he set uphill shoulders and pulled down hard producing accurate on-line throws up to 77 mph. In the INF, he worked out at SS and 1B showing natural feel on the dirt. Stays low to the ground with light feet that work around and through the ball and give him solid range. Good glove skill as well fielding it out front with feel to both the backhand and forehand side. At the plate, he sits in a narrow stance where he uses a bigger leg lift trigger as his hands pop back in rhythm. The barrel is thrown on a direct path working short-to-long. Showed above avg. bat speed for his level with present barrel accuracy that showed in-game with several line drive barrels. Flashed some developing pullside power as well. On the mound, he uses a hands over head delivery with a more drop/drive type lower half. Showed a longer arm action with a slight stab in the back and to release at a higher ¾ slot. Repeats it well and works fast. His fastball was up to 76 where he controlled it well in-zone. Mixed in a quality low 70s changeup that has present depth. Named to the Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
