Lakin Greathouse is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Franklinton, NC who attends Granville Central. Tall lean pitchers build with a lot of room for future development. Ran the 60 yard dash in a time of 7.42 seconds. Primary position RHP, using a high, straight over top arm slot and big leg lift gather over the rubber before transition. Saw his velocity peak at 79 mph with downhill angle and held the velocity deep into outing. Shortens his arm stroke a bit on his CB that has nice two plane shape. Did have some timing issues with the fastball at times resulting in some elevated deliveries. Will see an upward trend in overall stuff with added strength in the future. Worked out on the IF, showing active feet creating good angles and feel for the backhand play. Did field the ball a touch deep with two hands straight on but consistently got into good throwing position producing 75 mph velocity across the diamond. Switch hitter, with an aggressive active load and a hanging leg lift from the right side. Consistently on the barrel with line drive approach. From the left side, hit from a closed off front side creating quite a bit of length in swing. Needs some refinement and again will see improved ball flight with added strength. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
