Matthew Emery is a 2027 RHP/IF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Providence Day. Medium frame with lean levers. Ran a 8.63 sixty yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a full windup off the first base side of the rubber. Medium belt high leg lift with a shallow elbow-lead arm path. Comes through with an over the top arm action. Straight fastball up to 71-mph and mixed in softer curveball on occasion. Missed arm side some with his mix but managed to work himself out of jams with some poise. Reps at first base, arm played well with some accuracy across the diamond. Deliberate actions to and through the baseball. Right handed bat, wide and open base to start it with a higher back elbow and hand set. Drops the hands some, barrel feel increased as the round went on wearing out left-center field.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
