Roanan Cason is a 2024 C/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Westview. Features a lean, athletic build with plenty of projection remaining. Ran a 7.48 60-yard. Flashed athleticism throughout infield and catching drills. Moves well both ways on dirt with more fluidity going to the glove side. Settling down feet would allow for a quieter glove and more consistent glove actions. The arm showed average carry and accuracy with a fairly quick arm action. Athleticism translated behind the plate. Flashed the ability to transfer ball quickly. Continuing to develop footwork will allow for more consistent transfers and stronger throws to bases. Utilizes a wide base stance with some bend in the knees and a heavy upper half lean on the backside. Slight leg lift load works well when the foot gets down on time. Looks to drive the ball in the air with authority. Also showed potential on the mound. The right-hander utilizes a drop and drive delivery with a heavy lower half sink at leg lift. A slight upper body twist and crossfire landing create some deception. Long arm action comes outs of a low 3/4 slot. The fastball topped out at 82 mph with solid armside run. Paired with an upper-60’s curveball which featured short, downward action. Both offerings generated a fair share of whiffs.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
