James Obaldo is a 2027 MIF/RHP with a 5-4 120 lb. frame from Chicago, IL. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean, athletic frame. Ran an 8.10 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well laterally with a good glove and footwork in actions. Good mechanics throughout his showcase, possesses good arm strength and an accurate arm on to first base. His glove work stood out. Right-handed hitter at the plat, has an even base and utilizes a big leg kick trigger for timing. He stays on a linear path throughout and shows good present bat speed through the zone. Does a good job getting extended and shows comfort staying through the middle, shows present hand speed, will continue to improve with added strength. Excellent student.
