Mateo Garcia is a 2022 3B/IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Turlock, CA who attends John H. Pitman. Athletic build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.02 seconds. Primary infielder, was athletic, moved well laterally to both sides of the ball, had quick twitch movements. Showed smooth hands and good footwork with a quick transfer and transition. Displayed strong accurate throws. Left-handed hitter, hits from a simple stance, displayed good bat speed, swings with max effort every pitch. Hits from a with a slight toe tap for timing, the swing had a natural loft. Excellent student.
