Samuel Kimmel is a 2008 MIF with a 5'9'', 145 lb. frame from West Palm Beach FL, who attends Palm Beach Gardens HS. He has a small frame and young build with some hidden wiry strength. Kimmel has very good quickness, he moves his feet well in the field, has quick hands on defense and a quick release. His physical tools are well suited to second base. He ran the 60 n 6.87. Offensively, Kimmel is a switch hitter with a similar approach from both sides. He might be a bit quicker from the right side but he's pretty even. Kimmel has a very sound contact approach and quick hands and quick hips, which give him some bat speed and bat skills. He makes very solid line drive contact from a short swing from both sides and looks like he can handle good pitching with his approach. Kimmel also showed very good quickness and instincts on the bases. He appears to be a nice top of the order hitter who can do lots of things on offense as long as you don't expect him to hit with much power. He plays bigger than his size and has the ability to play at the next level.
