LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 13U/14U Mid-Atlantic Showcase
Nico Leal is a 2026 RHP/3B with a 5-8 148 lb. frame from Holmdel, NJ who attends Holmdel. Medium, young athletic build with present strength in his lower half. 8.53-second runner during the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind up with an above-the-belt leg lift. Medium stride length down the slope, remaining on line to target. Comes from a higher 3/4 slot, creating natural cut on his fastball. Filled up the zone as he sat in the mid-60s. Velocity held throughout the entirety of his three innings of work. Generated some swing-and-misses and weak contact as he located fastball in all four quadrants. Plenty of physical projection remaining that will add velocity. Secondary corner infielder, deep fielding funnel, playing back on his heels. Worked uphill to release, with accurate throws across the diamond. Up to 64 mph as he is continuing to develop arm strength. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a slightly open stance and a high-hand set. Middle-of-the-field approach with developing feel for the barrel. Elongated swing plane with a tendency to get mistimed with his leg-lift-trigger.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
