John Deveau is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Summit, NJ who attends Seton Hall Prep. Deveau works from a medium athletic build with additional projection coming to the frame in the future. As a primary OF, he showcased active footwork with compact actions, moving through the baseball well to create downhill momentum and ultimately top out at 74 mph. He displayed fluidity to the release with arm strength continuing to develop. On the mound, Deveau worked exclusively from the stretch, using a full stride down the mound to pound the zone and record outs efficiently up to 73 mph. He flashed a slurvy shaped breaker as his primary out pitch with developing spin profile. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a compact hand set and low back elbow, displaying hand speed through the zone to generate impact to the middle of the field. He successfully repeated a line drive approach with power projection in the future. Ran a 7.30 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
